What is astrology, its types, origin and constellation

Astrology is the unique science of studying and analyzing the effects of rays or waves from the interrelationships of the stars and planets in the solar system with the help of micro-mathematical formulas on the existing roots and consciousness on this Earth. It is a well-known fact which is inexhaustibly established, manifests the manifestation of the spirituality, and the opening of third eye. Some Western scholars have acknowledged that spirituality contains all knowledge. An astrological eye is needed to study that knowledge and science. Today, scientists have spent years studying computer telescopes and the labs of many universities.

Origin of Astrology

Astrology is originated from the ancient civilization of Mesopotamia. Scholars believe that the same knowledge has spread all over through Greece. There is a lot of changings in the astrology currently being practiced in Asia and Europe. Based on the social traditions, philosophy, local beliefs, etc., its form has become different. It is common belief that each planet has its own nature and has different effects depending on where the universe is located. The purpose of astrology is to get prediction of consequences of these effects on the Earth and its events or people.

Astrology Constellations

The constellations are basically imaginary constellations. The Sun’s orbit around the Earth is a 360 degree circle (actually some elliptical). It is divided into 12 parts, each 30/30 degrees. A constellation whose name falls within 30 degrees is given the name of a zodiac sign. These zodiac signs are – Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. Aries in one and Pisces in twelve. They roughly indicate the shape of the constellations indicated by these words – Aries means sheep, Taurus means bull, and so on. And so are the planets Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn – a total of seven. Apart from this, two imaginary planets Rahu and Ketu are also counted in Eastern astrology. These are actually the points intersected by the lunar orbit and the solar orbit, not physical planets. So they are always in opposite directions. Astrology believes that there is a natural relationship between the zodiac and the planets. A planet that has a natural relationship with a zodiac sign is called the lord of that zodiac sign

Types of Astrology

There are many types of astrology in the world. Let’s first introduce Mesopotamian astrology. Later, will  talk about Western astrology. The earliest recorded astrology in Western astrology is in Nineveh, Iraq, but the complete ancient astrological observation site is at So Stonehenge, more than 100 kilometers southwest of London, England.

Babylonian Astrology

It originated in Babylon in the 2nd millennium BC. It started with the belief that all phenomena such as weather, natural disasters, and human life are affected by the heavens. At that time, five planets were known, and their gods were associated with them: Jupiter and Mercury, Venus and Sun, Saturn and Neptune, Mercury and Moon, Mars, and Uranus. The sun-god Shamash and the moon god Sin were affecting the material world with their actions. Babylonian astrology sought to predict their movements, and thus the fate of everything material was learned. 12 houses were created, and they formed the basis of the 12 signs we know today: Life, Poverty / Wealth, Siblings, Parents, Children, Illness / Health, Wife / Husband, Death, Religion, Honors, Friendship and Hostility.

Hellenistic Astrology

It emerged in the Mediterranean region in the 1st century BC. It all started with the conquest of Alexander the Great, so that Babylonian Astrology and Egyptian Dean’s Astrology were combined to form the first horoscopic astrology. It is the first type of astrology to use the Ascendant and includes 12 heavenly houses that derive from them. The Natal Chart was focused, and the sky positions were calculated when someone was born.

Western Astrology

This one traced back to the Babylonian culture of the Mesopotamian plains before 3000 BC. The Babylonians divided the orbit of the sun on the celestial sphere into twelve regions, which are the twelve constellations we now call. They observe the laws of the sun, the moon, and the stars, and summarize the laws of the sun and everything, the tides and the moon, and the constellations having different effects at different times and positions. Therefore, when the planets are in their natural orbiting positions, they are considered by the Babylonians to be God’s attitude in dealing with human problems. When the planet’s movements can be interpreted, the Babylonians begin to understand whether the gods are about to bring blessings to the world. More than 1,000 years before the park, Babylonian astrology was introduced to Egypt and formed Egyptian astrology; it was spread to the Aegean Sea and formed Western classical astrology (Greek astrology) ninth century AD, astrology was spread to Baghdad and formed Arabic astrology. After constant changes and evolution, it has developed to the present.
